The Role

With ambitious goals for the group, we are looking for an ambitious and tenacious individual with a consultative sales approach and passion for the DSA sector to help us meet our aggressive growth plans. Working closely with our Head of Sales, Strategic Relationship Manager and growing Sales & Marketing team, you will be responsible for delivering our lead generation activities to enable us to deliver quarterly sales revenues against agreed targets across our three core businesses of Invate, e-Quality Learning and Learning Labs.

You will work to achieve KPIs by following up on marketing campaigns, event series, previous contacts and by making cold calls. The objective is to book high quality, fully qualified appointments for our Strategic Relationship Manager from both existing and prospective clients.

Regarded as the transition point for opportunities from marketing to sales and therefore the first point of contact in the sales process, you will continually increase your knowledge of our products and its specific selling points and will build up an extensive knowledge of case studies so that you can talk with authority and confidence about existing customers and how they have benefited from using our solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will proactively engage with needs assessment centres, freelance assessors, universities and other relevant institutions across the UK to promote and sell our core brands through outbound calling activities – ensuring that our brand values are reflected within each and every discussion.
  • You will work with our Strategic Relationship Manager to develop a deep understanding of the issues facing our prospects/clients and use this knowledge to secure a targeted number of qualified appointments per month and reach our weekly and monthly quote targets.
  • Monitor your own call rates and lead generation results – and actively work to improve these.
  • You will undertake a range of sales activities including pipeline and forecast reporting, identifying new prospective providers, following up leads, delivering webinars, attending relevant events and ultimately helping our field sales team in securing sales revenues to achieve targets.
  • You will liaise with the marketing team to develop briefing documents for marketing initiatives and campaigns to support your sales generation activities.
  • Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects in both existing and new markets.
  • Manage incoming sales leads and ensure every enquiry is managed in the optimum manner.
  • Work with our content marketer to compose press releases and content for news articles, blogs and case studies.
  • Execute market research campaigns on both clients and competitors.
  • Produce monthly external client sales reports and internal sales forecasting/pipeline reports using in-house reporting tools.
  • Process client software orders and send activation codes.
  • Promote and book client Continuous Professional Development (CPD) events.
  •  Co-ordinate and plan customer and corporate events, customer conferences, forum and exhibition stands with responsibility for pre and post event lead generation activities.
  • Deliver online webinars highlighting the USPs of our products and services in conjunction with the Strategic Relationship Manager.


Salary and Benefits

  • £20k to £23K base (dependent on experience) + £7K OTE

  • Tenacity, drive and determination to secure sales using a consultative approach and meet quarterly sales targets & KPIs.
  • Highly motivated individual, self-starter able to work on your own or as part of a team, ability to prioritise and handle a diverse workload.
  • Strong administration skills & ability to work in a results-driven, high-activity environment with a good working knowledge of MS office packages.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Evidence of skills that include prospecting, building a pipeline, needs analysis, proposal solution development, closing techniques and sales reporting.
  • Good interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills including presentation, strong negotiation and influencing skills.
