The Role

We are seeking an individual with experience and a passion for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, to join our Client Solutions team. At the core of our service is brilliant client care and we want our clients to feel valued, and to make sure they come back to us for any further support they may need around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and developing winning proposals. You will respond to enquiries about our DEI products and services and engage with potential new clients on developing their inclusion journey. You need to be able to create strategic messaging, ensuring we’re articulating the best story and value to clients.

You will work collaboratively with the Client Solutions Team, Consultants, Project Managers, and Clients to prepare clear and robust proposals whilst also supporting our growth initiatives. This is a role to challenge and inspire the right person, with excellent prospects for growth within the company.

Experience, knowledge, skills and competencies 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage inbound sales enquiries and your own pipeline.
  • Attend client calls to inform the creation of proposals and tender documents.
  • Translate technical information and business jargon into clear, consistent, and grammatically correct solutions-based DEI content. 
  • Capture, shape, and synthesize information to reflect a cohesive message, written in one voice.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and handouts for meetings with prospective clients.
  • Work with the Client Solutions Manager and other team members to understand proposal planning and delivery.
  • Support and lead bid opportunities for new business pursuits.
  • Demonstrate a finely tuned ability to sift through a discussion, extracting the most significant information and action items.
  • Conduct meetings with clients and identify sales opportunities.
  • Draft accurate, responsive, compelling text for proposals, including background/context, executive summary, technical approach overview, activity components, and technical annexes.
  • Collaborate with content and product lead, project managers, consultants, and client service teams to build creative and innovative material.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve and streamline the proposal development process.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the proposal content library including capability statements, research papers, past performances, management plans, and other related proposal content.
  • Attend pre-proposal meetings and debriefings as needed.
  • Comply and use CRM database to track all proposal information required to develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. Ensure data is accurate and updated real-time.

Personal Specification

  • Demonstrable work and/or lived experience working within DEI and being able to effectively apply this to the way we influence external bodies.
  • Have a genuine interest and passion for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, coupled with a willingness to keep up to date with industry trends, regulations and legislation.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask within a fast-paced, challenging, and deadline-driven environment.
  • To follow directions from multiple sources and determine priorities as needed.
  • Ability to provide high quality customer service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work across departments within the business.
  • Able to work autonomously and organise your own work with minimum supervision as well as an initiative to be creative and innovative in the space.
  • Team player and aware of different cultures to work in an international setting.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience (including lived) in the DEI landscape as well as the ability to convey core DEI concepts, theories, and practices.
  • Proven experience conducting in-depth interviews and presentations with subject matter specialists or groups (in a business arrangement) and converting information into meaningful proposals.

  • Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and other word processing software.

  • Clear oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • CRM/data management experience

Terms
We offer a flexible business model in which all types of working arrangements will be considered. The role is for 37.5 hours per week and the successful candidate is required to start as soon as possible.

Location
We operate a hybrid working model, with a minimum of two days in the office per week, splitting our time between our office in Central London (Old Street) and home. Our clients are based around the UK and further afield so the role may require travel.
