The Role

With aggressive growth plans that include taking our products and services into new markets and acquiring complementary companies to our group portfolio. We’re looking for a Graduate/Junior Full Stack Software Developer to join our expanding development team to accelerate the production of our high-quality software, which is greatly valued by our customers.

What you will do

Our development team is responsible for a range of web and desktop applications hosted in the cloud and on-premises. We develop using Agile development methodology.

As Graduate/Junior Software Developer you will be involved at all points in the development cycle: design, acceptance criteria, development, QA and continuous integration of our software. You will ensure features are built using sound engineering principle and good patterns.

We’ll encourage you to grow and develop in your role and support you to continuously look at new ways to aid the development process.

We use Azure Devops, AWS, Azure, C#, php, SQL Server and MySQL.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Development and maintenance of internally produced systems
  • Contributing to and reviewing backlog stories and their acceptance criteria
  • Software design
  • Coding, and QA activities such as testing, code reviewing and unit testing
  • Participation in regular meetings with internal customers

Essential Skills

To help make sure we’re delivering world-class software solutions, you must have experience in the following (gained either in industry or part of a project):

  • C# .Net and/or PHP
  • Web technologies – HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of SQL/MySQL
  • Successful candidate should also be able to display:
    • Patience in troubleshooting and finding bugs
    • Test software to ensure correctness, responsiveness, and efficiency
    • An eagerness to learn with a technical mindset
    • Understanding of object orientated programming techniques
    • Be enthusiastic about technological possibilities and software development
    • Enjoy solving problems
    • Ability to work well under pressure
    • Ability to work with other teams within an organisation, collaborating on Product Design & Development projects
  • A relevant Computing/Software qualification or appropriate experience


Beneficial Skills / Experience

  • An understanding and use of Git/ Azure Dev Ops
  • Developing and optimising SQL queries
  • Basic knowledge of IIS
  • Developing tools and applications by producing clean and efficient code
  • Basic knowledge of MS Power BI reporting
  • Exposure to cloud service (i.e., Microsoft Azure and/or AWS)
  • Sector experience in technology and / or education
