Our first employee experience event: Unified 2023

In July 2023 we celebrated the success of our first eQS Group-wide employee event, which we named… Unified

Here’s a few highlights in numbers…

  •  64 attendees travelling from 4 key office locations including Plymouth, London, Yorkshire and Hebburn.
  • 5 speakers including our CEO Michael Hall with an inspiring presentation that set out our vision, mission and purpose, our group MD Andy Gough on unifying and energising our people ahead of the day, Camila Williams-Johnson MCIPD and Bryony Steventon showcasing our new group values and Femi Otitoju who not only compered the entire day but also lead us in a game that helped form real connections.
  • 23 ‘getting to know you’ questions answered by participants creating 1 entirely unique ‘Unified’ story of our own.
  • 4 arcade games with dozens of plays made on Batak, snooker, Scalextric and table football.
  • 49 Batak light hits within 30 seconds – the top score of the day – and 1 agreement to call a truce on trying to beat it between Jack Fisher and Arun Sahota.
  • 1 inspiring keynote address from Salha Kaitesi of Teakisi, teaching us that there is no such thing as ‘hard to reach’.
  • Unquantifiable connections made and lifelong memories formed.

Our aim was to unify our teams. We wanted to build on the strength of our network of expertise, simply through knowing one another a little better. Plus, we just wanted to have some fun! We achieved all we set out to and more, which only stands to help us provide better quality services for the people we support.
